There are four levels of DLC available for The Sims 4: expansion packs, game packs, stuff packs, and kits. Some of the kits just feel a little redundant or whagnot to me don't get me wrong there are definitally kits that have cute stuff but I don't see the need for so many individual different kits.Watch on YouTube How much does all The Sims 4 DLC cost?
Sims 4 kits for free#
Sure they are an afforadable way to add more content into your game when you maybe can't afford a pack but at the same time I feel like there are kits they could have just added the content into a stuff pack or even one of the expansion or Game packs or heck even kits where theh could have jusy added the stuff into the base game for free for all players or kits they could have combined together to make a stuff pack instead. I didn't know there were 30, it's a start. Hopefully, they are increasing the item count for kits though. I would have loved unique gameplay kits though. Seems we get more kits than other packs lately and there's still stuff that has to be fixed from released packs but Kits are a priority these days. People once hated stuff packs, but now kits, and one day EA will give the community something new to have mixed feelings about.ĮDIT: Still wondering if we will ever get more stuff packs. They won't even let players buy the Sims 2 anymore. Either way, we can all agree the Sims 4 lifespan, price points, and multiple pack types (compared to other games), show how expensive the game is and how EA is trying to milk it for all its worth. If they owned other packs he showed that you weren't missing out on much if you couldn't afford one more pack.īut those who like and can afford kits should enjoy them. I remember James Turner made a video on using items from other packs so people wouldn't feel pressured to purchase the Industrial Loft Kit. Some would have liked other items - gameplay or clutter to make the kit seem worth its price. Yes, you can make infinite kitchens that are beautiful but that's it. Or compare the Country Kitchen Kit to other packs. Even Cool Kitchen Stuff has items and a gameplay feature that some might consider before buying a kit or two.

Think of the stuff Paranormal has compared to all the kits. So those who can't afford a bunch of kits to get some stuff for their sims would save more getting other packs.
Sims 4 kits plus#
Plus for half the price of a stuff pack, you get a lot less stuff. They raised kit prices in other countries is what I heard people saying. I guess because, unlike other sims packs, kits are 5 American dollars here but the monetary equivalent of kits in other countries doesn't equal $5 us dollars. I’d love to see kits with themes like granny chic, nautical bathrooms, an entire kit with just new beds or new wall art, some historical kits, etc. A starter home kit with super cheap furniture would be great and this basement kit was a big want of mine. I also don’t mind how frequently they come out because there’s so many themes I want. I honestly do like the kits though 🫣 As someone who primarily builds in the game, they’re kinda perfect for adding new ways to change things up. I’m still young enough where older relatives slip me $20s at family events and I usually squirrel those away for little treats for myself. That being said, $5 is a big deal to some people and I respect that. Instead of getting Starbucks, I got a kit. I only have 3 or 4 currently (not including the desert one) and each time it was a Friday pick-me-up after a rough week of work and classes. Maybe it would be different if I felt like I just had to own every single kit, but I don’t.
